I am a developer/researcher in Citrix Advanced Products group. One of the things I would like to do is interact more with the community to learn what is currently going on.
Nothing else to report just yet.
I am interested in discussing what people think about DVI.
Hi Jeff,
I can really see Virtual Desktops having a place in a Large Citrix farm, especially to run things apps like Reuters, Hyperion etc. that are not neccessarliy “Citrix Friendly”.
Having the “Broker” to be able to present this from a Citrix farm is quite good, even if it just shows Citrix being proactive.

Dave,
Thanks for the feedback. I agree with what you have said about running things that typically would not work well on Presentation Server.
I think one of the biggest use cases is for applications and users that do not like to share based on bigger tasks. Some people would call them power users but I would just say that these people need more computing power than most.
Leveraging the farm with a broker is a great step forward. It would be very difficult to manage independent desktops without some kind of centralized control.
I think Citrix has woken up to the need to explore this space. I also think that this is a key time for the customers to speak up about what they want to see happening.
Thank you again,
Jeff Muir
